Trondheim et arcs-en-ciel

Effectivement ça a pas mal remué jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Le bateau roule beaucoup, les mouvements sont lents mais amples et dans les couchettes on passe des heures à glisser alternativement vers le pied et la tête du lit. Pas de bobo, mais pas beaucoup de dodo non plus.  On arrive à Trondheim un peu en retard, vers 9h , mais quand même moins en retard que le bateau dans l'autre sens (le MS Nordkapp), qui arrive juste devant nous alors qu'il est prévu à 6h30. Si il y a des gens dedans qui voulaient reprendre le train pour Oslo, ben ils ont raté le train! Il y a de très belles lumières ce matin, et ça va être un peu le thème de la journée : averses, arcs-en-ciel et pinceaux de soleil.

As forecasted, the beginning of the night was very bumpy. The ship rocks and rolls, with slow but wide movements, and in bed we spend several hours sliding alternatively towards the feet of the bed and towards the head. No harm done, but very little sleep. We arrive late in Trondheim, around 9 am, and the Southbound ship is very late also, since it arrives right before us instead of its scheduled time of 6.30 . The passengers who had planned to take the train back to Oslo have now missed it! The lights this morning are very beautiful, and it will be the theme of the day : rainshowers, rainbows and rays of sunshine.

On fait notre habituelle promenade dans la ville, un peu écourtée du fait du retard, on a un peu moins de temps (et on cherche toujours notre carte, qu'on finit par trouver à l'Office du Tourisme). Petite nouveauté du côté des entrepôts sur la Niveln, un promontoire d'observation au dessus de l'eau, et une petite exposition de photos anciennes des entrepôts il y a un siècle. Intéressant.

We take our usual stroll into town, a bit shortened since we arrived later (and we are still looking for our map of Norway, which we will finally find at the Tourist Office). There is a new addition to the "old" quarter on the Niveld, an observatory deck above the water, and a small exhibition of ancient photographs of the warehouses one century ago. Interesting.

Quand on repart il y a plus de soleil et la navigation dans le Trondheimfjord est très agréable, ça nous change de voir la végétation encore verte (quelques traces de jaune, de rouge...). Le ciel commence à se recouvrir un peu du côté du phare de Kjeungskjær.

When we leave the sun is back and the cruising in Trondheimfjord is very pleasant, it's different for us to see the trees still green (with some yellow and red). The sky clouds again as we pass the Kjeungskjær lighthouse.

On passe peu de temps après par le passage étroit du Stokksund, que pour une fois je photographie par l'arrière. Et on retrouve en fin d'après-midi les lumières dramatiques du matin, ciel d'orage, petits projecteurs de soleil, et jeux d'arc-en-ciel, magnifique. J'aime particulièrement le coup de soleil sur un porte-conteneur qui a l'air de traverser un arc-en-ciel. Sur l'aile de passerelle, on se mouille un peu par moment, mais ça vaut vraiment la peine.

Shortly after we reach the narrow passage of the Stokksund, and for once I take a picture from the back. In the late afternoon, the dramatic lights come back, stormy skies, patches of sun, and rainbows. It's beautiful. I particularly enjoy the spot of bright warm sun on a container ship which seems to sail right through a rainbow. From the deck aisle, we get a little wet from the rain, but the view is really worth it.

Le soleil se couche vers 18h sur le phare de Buholmråsa, un de mes points de répère du voyage, et ensuite nous revoilà en mer ouverte. Ca remue moins fort que la nuit dernière, mais on est encore un peu bercé. Je commence à payer le prix des 2 courtes nuits précédentes et je ne me sens pas très bien. Du coup, c'est le bon moment pour la sieste... qui finalement va durer jusqu'à demain matin!

The sun sets around 6 pm on the Buholmråsa lighthouse, one of my personnal landmarks for this trip, and we are back in open sea. It's not as bad as last night, but the ship still rolls a little. I am paying the price of two consecutive short nights and I'm not feeling so great. So it seems like a good time for a nap... which will last until the next morning!
