We have all day in Oslo today. It's pouring rain in the morning so we decide to go visit a museum, and we choose the National Gallery. It's an art museum presenting collections of sculptures (a little) and paitings (a lot), arranged as a time travel through the ages from Antiquity to the 1950s, with a focus on Norwegian artists of the last two centuries. There is a whole room dedicated to Edvard Munch, with the famous "Scream" but also many other paintings, some of which are very powerful (and exhibiting very different styles from the same artist, it's really interesting). I enjoyed this visit very much.
The rain stops after nap time, and we go for a stroll in Frogner Park, the one with Vigeland's statues. I was moved by this garden under the snow, today with the autumn colors and the stormy lights, it's also very beautiful. I know these statues are not everyone's cup of tea, but I find them really strong.
