En route vers les Lofoten

A Sortland (le centre administratif des iles Vesterålen) je fais quelques « portraits » du bateau à quai, sous le soleil. Quand même, il est beau, non ?

In Sortland (the administrative center for Vesterålen Islands), I take some portraits of MS Lofoten under the sun. Don't you find her beautiful?

Mais les choses sérieuses commencent plus tard, après l’arrêt à Stokmarknes (où, pour une fois, je ne suis pas allée visiter le musée de l’Hurtigruten, mais on est arrivé un peu en retard et je n’avais pas envie de cavaler… Je crois bien que j’ai fait la sieste !). Parce qu’après Stokmarknes, ce sont les Lofoten ! Avec cette météo, on voit les montagnes de loin, on essaye de deviner l’entrée du Raftsundet, ce passage étroit entre les Lofoten et les Vesterålen.

The serious part happens later, after the stop in Stockmarknes. For once, I didn't go visit the Hurtigruten museum, we arrived late and I didn't feel like rushing it. I think I took a nap! After Stockmarknes, here come the Lofoten Islands. Thanks to the clear weather we can see the mountains from far away and we try to guess the entrance to the Raftsundet, the narrow passage between Lofoten and Vestrålen.

Et le voilà, un peu de slalom entre les rochers à l’entrée, le passage sous le pont (encore un vieil ami) et on y est, à remonter tranquillement entre les deux rives si proches, toujours avec des lumières et des couleurs à tomber.

And here it is, a bit of slalom between rocks at the entrance, the bridge (another old friend) and there we are, cruising quietly between the very close banks, and we still have the light and the amazing colors.
