J12 (2) : Lofoten, retour à Svolvaer

On continue notre route jusqu'à la plage de Ramberg (voir toujours la carte,  "Day 4"). On s'y était arrêté brièvement hier sous la pluie, 24h plus tard c'est totalement différent. Il y a un petit saupoudrage de neige fraiche sur le sable, c'est tellement émouvant je trouve la neige sur le sable, si délicat. Ajoutez une lumière magique et changeante et il y a tout ce que j'aime. C'est vraiment beau l'hiver.

We keep going until the Ramberg beach (you can still follow on the map,  "Day 4"). We made a brief stop there yesterday in the rain, 24 hours later it's completely different. There is a dust of fresh snow on the beach, I find snow on the sand so moving, so delicate. Add a magical light changing by the minute, and this is everything I like. Winter is beautiful.

Deuxième épisode de "la neige et la mer" un peu plus loin à Flakstad, une autre des très belles plages des Lofoten. On y retrouve notre troupeau de photographes. A part eux et nous, c'est assez tranquille.

Snow on sand, second episode a bit later in Flakstad, which host another one of Lofoten's famous beaches. We cross path again with the photgraphers. Apart from them and us, it's pretty quiet.

On fait le tour du Flakstadpollen avec des perspectives spectaculaires depuis le fond du fjord. Toute cette partie de la côté de Flakstadøya est vraiment très photogénique!

We go round the Flakstadpollen with some spectacular viewpoints from the back of the fjord. This whole part of the coast of Flakstadøya is really photogenic!

Un peu plus loin on prend une route vers la gauche vers Vikten. Troisième épisode de "mer et neige" (et montagnes, n'oublions pas les montagnes).

Further away, we turn left towards Vikten. Third episode of "snow and sand" (and let's not forget the mountains).

Mais on doit commencer à penser à rentrer car le jour descend et je voudrais bien qu'on soit arrivé avant la nuit, au cas où. Quelques arrêts quand même sur le chemin, ça change tout la neige! Il y a toujours des passages d'averses qui donnent des très jolies lumières.

But it is time to think about getting "home", as the day is fading away and I would like to arrive before the night, just in case. Some stops still along the way, the snow makes everything so different! There are still some snow showers giving some beautiful lights. 

Nous voilà revenus au pont de Gimsøystraumen, petit arrêt en passant à la plage de Rørvik pour vous montrer encore comme c'est différent d'un jour à l'autre. On a perdu la vue, mais on a gagné la neige sur la plage (épisode final?).

We are back to the Gimsøystraumen bridge, short stop at Rørvik beach to show you how different it can be from one day to the other. We lost the view,  but gain the snow on the beach (last episode?).

Arrivés à "la maison" juste à temps pour profiter du spectacle de la neige sur les rorbus (et le séchoir à morue s'est bien rempli en quelques jours), et surtout pour profiter de magnifiques lumières du couchant depuis les fenêtres et la terrasse. On est vraiment bien ici.

And we are back just in time to enjoy the sight of the snow on the rorbus (and the drying rack filled up quickly in a couple of days), and to enjoy also the beautiful sunset lights from the deck and the living room window. We feel so good in here.

La neige continue à tomber en averses, de plus en plus avec la nuit. On se demande comment ça sera demain? La dernière fois qu'on est venu, un matin on n'a pas pu ouvrir la porte du rorbu tant la neige s'était accumulée derrière! En tout cas pour les aurores boréales c'est encore raté cette nuit, mais tant qu'à faire je préfère que ça soit à cause de la neige plutôt qu'à cause de la pluie!

The snow is still falling in showers, harder and harder during the evening. We wonder how it will be tomorrow morning? Last time we were there, one morning we couldn't open the rorbu's door because of the snow accumulating overnight! For Northern Lights, it's another bad night of course, but I'd rather it was bad because of the snow rather than because of the rain.
